Appears to a great deal waiting to install in the fall.I made a wood top to insert a Weber BBQ, and the last time, I let the hot briskets after the cooking for a while, and the wood caught fire. After replacing the burnt wood, I protected the rim and the underneath with this product and another one. I cut the shield open, for the rim custom made installation, and it works great! Now, the woods close to the rim do not get hot as before. It feels much cooler, so I confident that the wood won’t get burn again! Great product!Used the sheath to protect wiring in an engine bay.This product does exactly what it's supposed to do-insulate! I use it for insulating small steam lines that run at around 5-600 degrees, and that eliminates the danger if someone touches the line.Narrow mouth and no way to open the side. Gotta thread it over the pipe, wire, or cable you're trying to protect. Adequate, however, just be very sure how thick your cable/wire/pipe is since you can't stretch this stuff.Bought this to protect the air line and wires running under my jeep and near the exhaust. Definitely worth the money to do it right 1 time.This stuff cleans up my engine bay. I used it to cover rubber hoses connecting to my heater, pcv and brake booster. If you order the correct Size to cover the OD of your hoses it works well. I cut the shielding about an 3/16 short on both sides and used electrical take on the ends to prevent fraying and covered the tape with hose clamps. Looks very clean and tidy.I just received this but needed a 3" section right away I covered the plug wire and it it working well so farI have ordered a new set of wires and plan to use more in the installation will update review if necessaryThank-you very much perfect size for what I needed.
