I'm a 6 in heels/6.5 in shoes/boots roughly 9 1/8 inches in length, normal feet, nothing special. Most reviews said size up, but I wasn't sure HOW much, so I order 2 pairs just half a size up which was a 7. They fit small, and I shall describe to help you make a decision. A half a size up means... you won't be able to wear thick socks if preferred, big toe would touch the top or end of the shoe when extended at maximum. I prefer my toes to not touch the end, be flat, and not curled in boots. Returned them and got a 7.5 which was a FULL size up, and they are the correct fit with thin or thick socks. These boots will hit at mid legs, under the calf. The colors of the boots are how they appear online, quality of the boots are fine, and they are lightweight. Although the foot bed seemed flat like there's no arch support, there are cleats under the shoe that helps absorbs a lot of the shock, then the flexibility aids in arch support while walking. The heating technology within the shoe is similar to the emergency mylar thermal blanket, so it does retain heat, but UGGS still are much better at warming your footsies. Now, a bit of common sense. I don't care what company claims a product to be waterproof or not, but if it's not plastic or rubber of some sort all around, it ain't waterproof, so don't expect it to be. It is probably wise to not wear them in thick snow. I wore them in the rain into a couple of flooded puddles for about 5 minutes through a parking lot and they were fine. Now I ordered 4 pairs, and I hope this will help other buyers, because I feel like they manufacture different colors at different times, so it loses some consistency? The greyshale, umberbrown, and white had similar fit. The white one is a bit defective with the right boot slightly smaller. So troublesome to exchange again, so I didn't bother sending them back. The BLACK pair is obviously bigger, it felt like it was 1/4 of a size bigger than the others. No wonder some buyers only sized half a size up or said it was true to size? My solution was to just wear thicker socks for those. Anyhow, they are really cute and comfortable (I wear them with jeggings), so do go one FULL size up on most, and remember to try on BOTH left and right boots to make sure you didn't get a defective one.I'm very pleased with these boots, and they are my go-to's whenever we have ice and/or snow. They're warm enough (could always use even more warmth!), and have a sturdy sole so that I never feel that I'm going to slip. The only negative thing that I have to say, is that I wish they were a little taller. I'm 5'6" and they come to about mid-calf on me. I suppose I'll just have to buy another boot that's taller. Very pleased with the purchase though. Quality materials so they'll last me a good few years.I usually wear a size 10, sometimes size 9.5 if a shoe runs large. I at first ordered a 10.5 in these because reviewers were saying to order larger. However I do NOT recommend ordering large in these unless you are intending to wear them with thick socks on. I had to send the 10.5's back and order my usual 10's. They have a furry lining, so I did not feel the need to wear them with thick socks. However, I live in the pacific northwest, where temps rarely go below 20 degrees. They kept my feet toasty warm on the 25 degree (Fahrenheit) days we had last month when I went for a walk, with my normal thickness asics cushioned nylon exercise socks on. Also, I almost didn't get these boots because of all the reviews saying they are not waterproof. While I wouldn't wade slowly through a creek in them, I did have to quickly jump through some 5 inch deep puddles on my walk, and they had beads of water all over the outside when I was done, but my feet were still dry on the inside. I would say if you want to be extra sure, just give them an extra spray-down with some waterproofing spray when you first get them and let them dry before you go out in them, because maybe the factory isn't always thorough with their spray when they finish them. However, mine were great! So great that I asked for another pair from santa! :)Also, these boots have some very nice traction. The feel when walking in them is different than any other shoe I've walked in, sort of squishy and lets you feel the surface your walking on. I would say if you are someone who needs lots of support and cushion in your shoes you will probably want to add an insole to these puppies.Overall verdict: Super cute, super comfy, water resistant, warm, fits as expected. After reading all the reviews about sizing I purchased these in a 6.5 (US). I wear a size 6 most of the time except for running/hiking shoes where I'll go as high as 7 to get in my custom inserts and thicker socks though part of that is that I have really high arches so l tend to want things looser if they lace over top of the foot. The 6.5 is the perfect size. It's a BIT big with regular socks on, but not so big that it's rubbing me to the point of blisters (I wouldn't run in them though) and I can lace up the ankle tighter to keep it in place better. It also then makes it easier for me to slip in/out of these boots without doing much but untying the laces at the top (a convenient feature in a winter boot). I give them 4 stars instead of 5 because they don't have terribly great support in the soles (they're not very cushy and you can feel it when you've been on your feet for 4+ hours). So far they have proven themselves waterproof (it's snowed ~2-3inches a couple times since I've had them) and warm. I'll probably get an extra pair of inserts and then they'll be perfect. All in all, a great deal for a nice boot.**EDIT**After having worn them all winter in knee high snow I can fully attest to their warmth/waterproofness. I was wet ABOVE the boots, but not inside them. It may seem like they couldn't possibly be fabric and waterproof, but they do the job well!Super warm! I ordered my normal size, and they were way too snug. Amazon didn't have half sizes available, so I returned them and ordered a half size larger than normal from a different site. I possibly could have gone with an entire size up as they are a bit too snug with thicker socks (though definitely warm enough that my feet are not at all cold with thinner socks), but I honestly did not feel like going through the hassle of 2 returns! It might not be a bad idea to order them in 2 different sizes to try on, and then return the pair you don't want so you don't have to wait! Thus being said, they are super comfortable, super warm, waterproof (I have stepped in a shallow river with them and stayed fully dry as long as they aren't submerged as water would obviously seep in through the lacing are). I absolutely love them!i liked the look of these but they split between sole and upper after only a few months light wear. Columbia were crap... very very poor customer service from their European office and quite shocking avoidance and delaying tactics. After weeks of to and fro the finally admitted they had no directly equivalent product to replace my damaged boots with. So I ended up having to choose some clunky walking shoes which I didn't want and can't wear because they are too rigid. Money back was evidently not on the menu. Nor was choosing similar pair of boots that were only a few quid more expensive. Rather than take my word for the circumstances and extent of damage, or accept photographic evidence, I had to cut out the tongues of both boots and return these to them before they would even consider my claim. Without a doubt it was the worst shopping experience I ever had... £80 totally down the drain, and a lot of grief into the bargainPurchased for my wife who has tiny feet (just under a UK size 3).She said these fit her perfectly as she would usually wear a size 3 shoe which is typically very slightly loose on her feet, although these boots fit perfectly. Therefore like other readers have suggested if you want to wear a thicker socks with these boots it's best to chose one size up (unless you're between sizes i.e. 1/2 size).Boots are exceptionally light, very warm and very comfortable with a tread underneath that hasn't caused any issues in November weather.Have been worn in the rain and kept her feet dry and warm.Good for me too - I'm in her good books with these as purchased as her Birthday present ;-)I’m really impressed with these boots.I’ve bought them for an upcoming trip and I’m sure they’ll be perfect.I’m so glad I took the recommendation of others and ordered a size bigger as they’ll only just about fit with my thermal socks on.They are really comfy. The soles are soft and spongy making them very comfortable to walk in, and the soft fur is all the way down your ankle (not round your feet), very cosy. I’m really looking forward to wearing them on holiday.I am usually a size 5.5 so ordered these in a UK size 6 as I read they come up a bit small. This was definitely a good idea and the Size 6 fits perfectly. These are really comfortable boots and you can wear them all day without getting sore feet. I wear them almost every day and they look great with leggings. They are really snuggly and warm and don't pinch and I would highly recommend them.
