Now this was bought as a gift for someone who suffers with some pretty bad lower back pain (around the bottom lumbar and tailbone). While I thought it was wonderful for my minor upper, mid and lower-back knots it didn't reach low enough to relieve him of his. You do have to lean into it but that's something I expected. We do like the fact that it comes with a car adapter which made our long car trip more bearable and it's surprisingly quiet.My only small complaints are that the heat is not all that warm (then again I have a really high tolerance to heat), the seat vibrations are kinda useless and it has an automatic shutoff at 30 minutes (which could either be a good or bad thing depending how you look at it)Overall I personally really like it but we might end up returning it for something specifically made for targeting the lower back.
