When you close the slide part n the lid there is a vacuum that seals the lid so it won’t split. Love these.Keeps liquids hot for about 4 hrs.I bought a dozen of the plain stainless cups for my kids, in-laws & grandbabies who were all here for two days over the 4th of July weekend.Added a bag of miscellaneous vinyl stickers & vinyl letters so everyone decorated their own. (&I didn't have to wash 12+ glasses 3 to 5 times a day!) They were a hit with everyone, young and old.These seem well made. No one had a problem with cups, straws or lids all weekend. Lids fit well.The lids have a very tight seal. It's so tight that I have a hard time opening it. I like that because if I drop it I know it won't open.It looks nice, but Did not like the slider opener for drinking. It often pops the lid off the drink container!Most of them are great, we engrave on them with no issues. One however had some overlap on the top lip. Not sure what happened in the manufacturing process... lolThe rubber around the lid keeps coming off. It either makes the lid hard to get on and off or the rubber slides off and the lid won't stay on. I got the multi-pack and they are all like this. The cup itself is good, I like that the lid can close, all of the cups arrived in good shape (not dented or anything).Nice product for sure, the lids we’re all smashed and hard to get into cup. The rubber prices around the lid are my only issue.Good stainless steal cup though!I was worried since reviews on so many tumblers were not so great.. But as I opened the box, I was so impressed. All the straws were correct, ewch tumbler was wrapped individually. I opened each one to make sure theres no damages, they are such high quality and the lids are amazing... I have found my new tumbler supplier!
