This is the replacement for pro mend. I would have never tried it had I not contacted the company and complained about them not making my favorite product for my hair. It seems like when something works they fix it.??? Well they sent me a coupon for $15.00 to try this product. The pro-mend I was using was under $10.00 so I thought I would get something with it. Instead I had to add another $3.00. $18.00 can you believe it? So I tried it and loved it but not the price. I decided to look on Amazon and found the price was much much lower. I purchased many just in case they decided to raise it. I spray it on my dry hair before I am ready to flat iron each piece of hair. It protects it from being burned and your hair feels like silk. Now my hair is normally a big ball of frizz so I have to run the iron through a few times which can take a toll on your hair so this shows you how good this product protects your hair from the heat.I have to have a product that smells good. This product smelled wonderful, and worked beyond my expectations. I have used many different types of products in the past, but this has been on of my favorites thus far. I have very curly and course hair that I use a flat iron on everyday. This seemed to add some moisture back into my hair, and it really seemed as if it didn't take nearly as long for me to do my hair while using this product. I also really like that it was more of a spritz bottle than a bottle kinda like hairspray, I feel like it lasted longer because of this. I am always switching what I use on my hair, but I will be coming back to this product because like I said before I have used some of the best products on the market but this has been one of my favorites hands down.Best heat protectant ever! I used to use the Nexxus Heat Protexx spray, but since the stores stopped carrying them I was in need of finding something similar. I found this and I'm happy I did! I sprayed it on my hair after the next shower and blow dried my hair (which I rarely do) not all the way dry but 90%, and I was planning on straightening my hair after. There was no need to straighten my hair though! It might be the flax seed oil or something else in the new formula, but it left my hair gorgeous and wavy but way more "put-together" than my hair used to look. It leaves your hair sleek and shiny and healthy-looking while protecting it from heat. Highly worth the purchase! Definitely buying this all the time!The only con I have is that it kind of smells like barbie doll plastic. It kind of goes away after a while, but if it's humid out you can still smell it a little. Nothing strong though.One of the main things about the Promend Heat Protection that first caught my attention was its scent...a very unique, pleasing smell. When I bought this one, however, the fragrance was totally different, and for that reason, the low rating -- I was expecting that same pleasant scent.I always used the Nexxus Styling Spray and was happy with that. I saw this pop up in the results and decided to give it a shot. It works just as well - maybe even better - and has a nice vanilla scent. I generally don't like perfumes and scented stuff (and the Styling Spray was getting pretty nauseating to be honest), but this is a very light and pleasant fragrance. What I really like about these products too is that it feels very lightweight, like water. So I don't feel like I'm gunking up my hair.The only thing I don't like is the shape of the bottle. It's very tall and narrow, and awkward to hold and use. However, it does fit neatly into my medicine cabinet, so that's a plus.I’ve been using this product for a full year now whenever I straighten or curl my 25” long hair. My hair has been in recovery mode for the past two years, and let me tell you... Nexxus took it to a whole new level. I got my split ends ends chopped off about 3 months ago and there is no new damage or splits to date. I am very happy for this product and recommend the entire Nexxus line to anyone who is trying to either save their hair or keep it healthy and shiny.I needed something to protect my hair and I have to say that I am indeed happy with this product. It has a nice scent and sprays nicely.I do have oily hair/ scalp so I have to avoid anything above my shoulders, as this WILL make my hair look greasy. I only put 2-3 sprays in, then I sort of run my hair together with my hands. Used it about a month so far and I like it. Worth a try!I have thin, fine hair and blow drying it always caused it to appear dry and frizzy. My stylist finally suggested I try a heat protecting spray. I've used Nexxus products in the past and have been well-pleased with them, so when I saw they made a heat protector, I immediately purchased it. I sprayed my hair, when wet, combed it through, and then blow dried it. The result was a silky-looking head of hair. Moreover, since I am able to purchase this on the subscribe and save, I'm saving money with each delivery. Highly recommended.
