Spout doesn't leak, pours average speed, large top opening to see inside, hard to get all the coffee out (a rim inside), but would recommend pretty highly especially for the price.I bought these for an important meeting at my workplace. I bought two new and one used through Amazon. All three performed very well. The matte black casing is classy and they are very simple to clean. Brush that claims to come with this carafe is actually a short plastic tab with a thin foam strip. I only used this once so far to serve hot cocoa and the liquid did stay warm. This particular carafe was not my first choice, but the first one was damaged during transit. This one was the only one that I could order and receive by the time I needed.The brush is a little short, but it cleans the inside of this carafe very well. I use this for keeping my water hot for tea while at my desk, so I don't have to stand up and make hot water every go around. It kept my water steaming hot for over 24 hours (AMAZING).The lid doesn't fully open, so I have to help it a bit, but this is not a problem when I only need to fully open this when I am cleaning and refilling this up.Very good value and worth every penny.I thought it was a good carafe until the top started malfunctioning.
